CBC Volunteer Opportunities

 

The CBCST is truly a volunteer-driven organization. The involvement and dedication of our volunteers help those who come to the Center grow beyond grief with compassion and dignity. Wherever your time and talents my be, there is a match for you with the CBCST to link hearts, mend spirits and transform lives, such as:

• Serve on a committee or board
• Participate in the speaker’s bureau
• Contribute services or materials
• Provide office or clerical support
• Volunteer for the annual support campaign (Healing Hearts Campaign)
• Make a financial contribution to the CBCST
• Join Friends of the CBC
• Sponsor a group dinner

 

All potential volunteers must fill out an application and attend a one-hour volunteer orientation known as a Tour of the Heart. This orientation provides the opportunity to learn more about the Center's mission / programs / services, and to talk with current volunteers and staff.

In addition, to ensure the safety of our families and our volunteers, background checks are done and a confidentiality statement is signed.
